Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2026

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit — for example, that you are logged in, or which features you used. Some cookies are required for the site to function; others help us understand usage so we can improve the product.

We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of them as "cookies."

2. Cookies We Use

Essential cookies (always on). These are required for the Service to function and cannot be turned off in the Platform.

  • Authentication session: set by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in and protect your account.
  • Security and CSRF tokens: protect against cross-site request forgery and abuse.

Analytics cookies. Help us understand which features are used and where users get stuck so we can improve the product.

  • PostHog: aggregated product analytics, feature flags, and session-level usage telemetry.

Marketing and referral cookies. Help us attribute sign-ups to the source that brought you in.

  • ax_ref: first-party cookie that records the referral code or campaign that introduced you to Alexandria. Used for partner attribution and credit.

3. How to Opt Out

You can disable analytics and marketing cookies in the following ways:

  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies for specific sites. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.
  • Do Not Track:Alexandria respects the standard browser "Do Not Track" signal where supported, by suppressing non-essential analytics for that session.
  • PostHog opt-out: contact moe@thealexandria.ai and we will exclude your account from product analytics.

Disabling non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using Alexandria, but some features (for example, referral attribution) may not work correctly.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use. They are governed by those providers' own privacy and cookie policies:

  • Stripe: sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and payment processing.
  • PostHog: sets cookies for product analytics and feature flag delivery.
  • Vercel: may set cookies for performance optimization and edge routing.

We do not run third-party advertising cookies or share your data with ad networks.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our cookie usage changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revisions. For more on how we handle personal data overall, see our Privacy Policy.
